P.J. Lane has been involved with track building since 1984, working for Ron
Webb, the master track builder-turned track designer. He has built a number
of 6 day (temporary) tracks which were repeated annually, and the following
permanent tracks: Two tracks in the UK, Edinburgh and Manchester, for the Commonwealth Games; two tracks in Australia, Perth and Adelaide; the rebuild of Herne Hill (concrete track and 1948 Olympic track); Wangunai track in New Zealand, and three Olympic tracks in Seoul, Athens and London respectively.

About PJ Lane Construction

P.J. has 32 years' experience in construction having worked on a variety of projects in London from 1984 to 1995 and afterwards in Ireland. After returning to Ireland he began as Project manager / Director at Atolvo Enterprises where he worked on restoration and refurbishment projects from 1995 to 1999. On moving to Cork he worked as project manager for Castlelands Construction on a scheme of 200 houses. From 2003 to 2011 he worked as Contracts Manager for Conerstone Construction, specializing in conservation and restoration of historic buildings.

In 2011 P.J. formed his own company, P.J. Lane Construction Ltd. This company will specialize in Velodrome building while maintaining a special interest in conservation and restoration work.
